Which Ikea® cabinets do you make products for?
We make fronts, panels, fillers, plinths, and trims to fit Ikea® Sektion, Godmorgon, Pax, Besta, and Akurum cabinet systems.
Do you also supply boxes, hinges, interior fittings, legs, and suspension rails to fit Ikea® cabinets?
Nope! You’ll have to purchase your cabinet boxes, hinges, interior fittings, legs, and suspension rails directly from Ikea®.
Can you make copies of Ikea®’s existing door styles?
No. We do not copy or match any Ikea® existing or previous door styles.
Do you make doors to fit the discontinued Akurum kitchen cabinet system?
Yes! Any of our unique materials can be made and pre-drilled to work with Akurum. However, we do not supply any hardware or interior fittings for Akurum. Have an Akurum kitchen? Email us at email@example.com for more info.
What does “sequencing” mean?
Simply put, it means the grain pattern of any Real Wood Veneer front will look like it flows from one front to the next in a specific sequential pattern; up to an 8 foot run (horizontally or vertically, depending on grain direction selected).
Does your Faux Wood or Solid Wood Shaker come “sequenced”?
Our Solid Wood Shaker collection is non-sequenced. With our Faux Wood collection, we try our best to vertically sequence the material, but it is not guaranteed.
Will my fronts be pre-drilled on the backside to accept Ikea®’s hinge and drawer hardware?
Yes! Most all our fronts are individually pre-drilled on the backside for compatibility with Ikea®’s hinge and drawer hardware (excluding custom-sized and appliance fronts).
Can you make custom sizes?
Yes! All exact dimensions must be provided by client. Custom sizes are 100% the responsibility of our clients to determine and specify. Custom sized pieces cannot be exchanged or refunded. Our limited manufacturer warranty does not apply to custom sized pieces. For most custom sized drawers and doors, we will not pre-drill the back-side to accept hinges or drawer connectors. However, this drilling policy is case by case and we highly recommend consulting with a Modern Twig representative for more details.
Can you make fronts to finish my panel-ready appliance? (eg. dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, etc.)
Yes! Appliance panel size is 100% the responsibility of our clients to determine and specify. We highly recommend consulting with the appliance manufacturer to provide appliance panel size. Our panels are not water-proof or water-resistant. We do not supply any additional parts beyond the front finished panel. We do not pre-drill the back of appliance panels for attachments. Our limited manufacturer warranty does not apply to custom sized appliance panels. Custom sized appliance panels cannot be exchanged or refunded.
Do you pre-drill my fronts for knobs and/or pulls?
No. However, our fronts are made at ¾” thick and compatible with most knobs and pulls.
If I make changes or add on to an existing order, will that create a production delay?
You have up to 3 business days to make changes or add on to your order after it’s been placed. After that, any changes or add ons to an existing order may result in a 1 to 2 week production delay. Additional change fees may apply.
How do I clean & care for my fronts?
Use a damp clean cloth with non-abrasive soap to clean and care for your fronts. Immediately dry after wiping down fronts. Do not leave any water or soap standing on surfaces. For our Real Wood Veneer collection, we recommend using orange oil/wax to clean and care. Please use sparingly.
Where do you ship?
Currently, we ship anywhere within the United States.
How long does shipping take after it’s left Modern Twig?
Shipping time varies with order size and delivery location. As a general rule, shipping time can take between 3-10 business days. Shipping delays may occur due to inclement weather or holidays.
How does my order get shipped?
We meticulously package each individual piece as best we can to ensure safe transit. For most large orders, they ship on a 4’ by 8’ pallet. Large orders get shipped LTL (a private shipper with Less-Than-a-Truckload). Currently, we only offer curbside delivery only.
What if my delivery arrives damaged?
It is very important to us that your order arrives in pristine condition. However, we are aware that damages, although rare, may occur during transit. Please document your delivery with notes and pictures, then notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. We will immediately start a claim, and help resolve any issues as quickly as possible. Please note: Any claims reported after 72 hours of delivery may be void. If taking inventory and documenting your delivery will take more than 72 hours, please notify your Modern Twig representative as soon as you can to ensure we plan accordingly.
What is your return policy?
All of our product is uniquely-crafted, and made to order. Due to the custom buying and ordering process, Modern Twig products are non refundable or exchangeable.
