RETURN & EXCHANGES

All of our products are uniquely-crafted, and made to order.  Due to the custom buying and ordering process, Modern Twig products are non refundable or exchangeable. 

WARRANTY

The warranty does not cover goods that have been exposed to force, misuse, excessive load, inadequate maintenance, incorrect storage or incorrect installation. We do not assume liability for installation faults caused by a third party kitchen fitter. We cannot not assume liability for any planning errors caused by the customer or any third party. We cannot guarantee that appliances purchased from third-party providers can be integrated into a Modern Twig kitchen. The warranty solely includes repair or exchange of defective goods. No compensation is offered for operating losses, loss of time or other form of indirect loss. 

Wood Veneer

The warranty only covers defects as specified herein and does not include defects or damages attributable to installation, misuse, or normal surface weathering, or defects or damages caused by accidents or fire or other casualty or Acts of God, or any other causes or occurrences beyond the manufacturer’s control such as excessive sunlight/water/heat/cold exposure. The exclusive remedial action provided for the customer hereunder shall be repair, restoration or replacement of the components as are found to be defective.

Modern Twig, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that its wood veneer, Wood Veneer components will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from the date of purchase, subject to the terms and conditions as stated in this warranty certificate. 

All Wood Veneer products have natural color, texture and grain; these characteristics are not considered defects under this warranty. Like all wood products, our doors will respond adversely to abnormal heat, humidity, dryness or cold and any issues related to exposure to such environments is not covered under this warranty. Any problems related to poor or improper storage, installation, or paint or finishing applied by the original purchaser or a third party are also excluded from this warranty.

Faux Wood

The warranty only covers defects as specified herein and does not include defects or damages attributable to installation, misuse, or normal surface weathering, or defects or damages caused by accidents or fire or other casualty or Acts of God, or any other causes or occurrences beyond the manufacturer’s control such as excessive sunlight/water/heat/cold exposure. The exclusive remedial action provided for the customer hereunder shall be repair, restoration or replacement of the components as are found to be defective.

Modern Twig, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that its thermally fused laminate, Faux Wood components will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from the date of purchase, subject to the terms and conditions as stated in this warranty certificate. 

The replacement of new materials for those as may be defective may result in a color variance in comparison to the originally installed thermally fused laminates due to slight color or texture changes by laminate manufacturers and is not indicative of a defect. Modern Twig, Inc. reserves the right to substitute such laminates as are then being manufactured and is only obligated to match color and quality with such products as it is manufactured at the time of replacement.

Wood Shaker

The warranty only covers defects as specified herein and does not include defects or damages attributable to installation, misuse, or normal surface weathering, or defects or damages caused by accidents or fire or other casualty or Acts of God, or any other causes or occurrences beyond the manufacturer’s control such as excessive sunlight/water/heat/cold exposure. The exclusive remedial action provided for the customer hereunder shall be repair, restoration or replacement of the components as are found to be defective.

Modern Twig, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that its Wood Shaker components will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from the date of purchase, subject to the terms and conditions as stated in this warranty certificate.

Like all wood products, our doors will respond adversely to abnormal heat, humidity, dryness or cold and any issues related to exposure to such environments is not covered under this warranty. Any problems related to poor or improper storage, installation, or paint or finishing applied by the original purchaser or a third party are also excluded from this warranty.  Hairline cracks at joint lines on Shaker doors are not considered defects and are, in fact, to be expected with any natural wood product.

Paint-Ready

The warranty only covers defects as specified herein and does not include defects or damages attributable to installation, misuse, or normal surface weathering, or defects or damages caused by accidents or fire or other casualty or Acts of God, or any other causes or occurrences beyond the manufacturer’s control such as excessive sunlight/water/heat/cold exposure. The exclusive remedial action provided for the customer hereunder shall be repair, restoration or replacement of the components as are found to be defective. 

Doors are warranted for warpage when it exceeds the following tolerances: 

– Doors up to 24” in height: maximum bow = 1/16”.

– Doors from 24” to 48” in height: maximum bow = 1/8”.

– Doors from 48” to 72” in height: maximum bow = 1/4”.

– Doors over 72” are not warranted for warp.

Under this warranty the exclusive remedial action by Modern Twig, Inc. shall be limited to the repair or replacement of any component proved to be defective under normal use and care. Our warranty does not cover defects caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, alterations, abnormal environmental conditions, improper storage and handling, installation, or poor and improper finishing by the original purchaser.

To submit a claim of this warranty, the original purchaser must provide Modern Twig, Inc. with (a) a written notice of claim under this warranty, and (b) within 90 days after notice of claim, provide Modern Twig, Inc. the defective product at its place of business, 2300 Central Ave., Unit H, Duarte, CA 91010. Under any circumstances, the costs of shipping the units to and from the manufacturer shall be paid for by the customer.

Should a warranty claim be approved by Modern Twig, Inc., the customer understands Modern Twig, Inc. cannot guarantee a “match” to the existing, unaffected pieces because of the real-wood nature of Real Wood Veneer doors and natural wear-and-tear.

Limitation of Liability: IT IS UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED THAT MANUFACTURER’S LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, IN TORT UNDER ANY WARRANTY, IN NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE RETURN OF THE AMOUNT OF PURCHASE PRICE FOR THE DEFECTIVE ITEM PAID BY PURCHASER AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL SELLER BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. NO ACTION, REGARDLESS OF FORM, ARISING OUT OF THE TRANSACTIONS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT MAY BE BROUGHT BY THE PURCHASER MORE THAN FIVE YEARS AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION HAS ACCRUED.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions herein may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary, from state to state.

Matte

Modern Twig, Inc. guarantees all thermally fused laminate Matte components are warranted by the manufacturer to its customer against defects occurring in the manufacturing process such as delamination or surface discoloration for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from the date of original installation, subject to the terms and conditions as stated in this warranty certificate.

The warranty only covers defects as specified herein and does not include defects or damages attributable to installation, misuse, or normal surface weathering, or defects or damages caused by accidents or fire or other casualty or Acts of God, or any other causes or occurrences beyond the manufacturer’s control such as excessive sunlight/water/heat/cold exposure. The exclusive remedial action provided for the customer hereunder shall be repair, restoration or replacement of the components as are found to be defective.

This warranty is limited to repair, restoration and/or replacement by Modern Twig, Inc. of any defective unit provided the manufacturer: (a) receives a written notice of claim under this warranty, and (b) within 90 days after notice of claim, is in receipt of the defective unit at its place of business, 2300 Central Ave., Unit H, Duarte, CA 91010. Under any circumstances, the costs of shipping the units to and from the manufacturer shall be paid for by the customer.
